Tom Gomes, Executive Administrator

Tom has more than 30 years of top-level executive management experience in the financial and money management sector, in high technology and the healthcare industry. He’s been at the helm of Fairhaven for two years and has already overseen major organizational reform, achieved financial stability and directed various building improvements. Tom was born and raised in Methuen, MA and is a graduate of Central Catholic High School in Lawrence, MA and UMass/Lowell with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management. He has been married to Diane for 30 years and is the proud father of 3 children.

Director of Rehabilitation: Dan Doherty
Dan graduated in 1995 from the University Of New Hampshire and has worked as an Occupational Therapist for the past 22 years.  He spent the first 12 years of his career in acute rehab at both Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital and Whittier Rehabilitation Hospital.  For the past 10 years Dan has been committed to the long term care industry, working in Skilled Nursing Facilities for Genesis Rehab and now with the Fairhaven family.  He is the father of 2 boys and husband to his wife, Robin, for 20 years.

Director of Nursing: Georgia Wayne, RN
Georgia has been in the health care industry for over 30 years. After receiving her BSN, she specialized in medical/surgical nursing. She came to the long term care industry over 20 years ago as a per-diem nurse—and it stole her heart. Since that time, Georgia has been in long term care health management with a passion to provide the best quality care possible to residents and rehabilitation patients, as well as providing the best possible support for the healthcare facility's staff. Georgia is married to her own hero, Jon Wayne; they have 5 children and two grandchildren.
Admissions Coordinator: Jeanne Boyle
Jeanne has an extensive experiential background in healthcare, spanning over 35 years in both the profit and non-profit arenas of acute care and sub-acute care. Her leadership roles have included Director of Clinical Services, Nursing Home Administrator, Hospital CEO, and Rehab Operations Manager/ Medicare Specialist. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing and a Masters of Science Degree in Management. Jeanne's community involvement includes several educational and community organizations and also is a certified hospice volunteer. Spending time with family and friends, traveling, reading, gardening and trips to the shore/beach are some of her favorite leisure time activities.
Assistant Director of Nursing: Emily Getchell
Emily has been an RN for 28 years. The majority of her career has been focused in acute care, specializing in cardiology and education. She joined Fairhaven Healthcare Center in October of 2015, giving her an opportunity to return to her original passion of geriatric nursing. Emily and her husband Tim have been married for 30 years and have 3 children, Christopher, Joseph and Brittany.

Business Office Manager: Kaitlyn Checci
Kaitlyn graduated from Middlesex Community College in 2005 and has worked at Fairhaven Healthcare Center since then. She started out as our lead receptionist and has since moved on to medical records, payroll, and accounts payable. She has served as our Business Office Manager since 2010. For the past 11 years, Kaitlyn has had the pleasure of working closely with her mother Deb Johansen, who is the Direct of Admissions here at Fairhaven. Kaitlyn has been married for five years, and has one child.
Unit Manager Centerville: Nicole West
Nicole has been a Licensed Practical Nurse for 20 years. A majority of her career has been spent in acute rehabilitation, specializing in spinal cord, neurology, cardiac and orthopedic rehabilitation. Over the last 10 years her focus has been in long term Care and hospice care. Nicole brings a vast amount of nursing experience to Fairhaven Nursing Center. She is married to John and is a proud mom of two boys and two girls.

Steven has worked in the long term care industry for 30 years, starting out as a C.N.A. and going to nursing school and graduating as an LPN in 1992. He has worked throughout the Merrimack Valley in various nursing homes as a Nursing Supervisor and a Clinical Reimbursement Coordinator. In 2000 Steven went back to school to gain additional training to qualify as an Activities Director and has worked in activities and as a Behavioral Management Coordinator since then. He brings to our organization a remarkable ability to serve the social and entertainment needs of our residents and rehabilitation patients, and can be counted on to provide the extracurricular activities that contribute to "quality of life". Steven has been married to his wife Carol for 22 years, and enjoys traveling and going to concerts. He has been at Fairhaven Healthcare Center since 2010, serving in a variety of capacities including Activities Director.
Unit Manager Pawtucketville: Kristen McHugh
Social Services Worker: Carol Ward, LSW
Carol has worked at our facility for over 31 years, starting out in the housekeeping department while still in high school. She also worked for a time as the staffing coordinator and helped out in the Business Office and Therapy Department as well;. Carol later joined the management team and was the Director of Environmental Services for eight years. In 2000, she transitioned into the Social Service Department and continues to enjoy being the social worker for many of our long-term care residents today. Carol graduated with honors with a BA from Rivier College, Manchester, NH. She is the mother of two sons—and a grandmother too.

From our picturesque facility near the Merrimack River and just 200 yards from Lowell General Hospital, we serve the rehabilitation and long term care needs of residents and their families in the Greater Lowell Area, northeastern Massachusetts and southern New Hampshire including Andover, Billerica, Carlisle, Chelsmford, Concord, Dracut, Groton, Haverhill, Lawrence, Methuen, Nashua (NH), Pelham (NH), Pepperell, Salem (NH), Tewksbury, Tyngsborough, Westford, Wilmington and Windham (NH).
